Our consortium, including Bouygues UK and Ecovert FM, subsidiaries of Bouygues Construction, and HSBC Infrastructure have combined their resources and expertise in order to maximise the added value to the project as well as to ensure its successful delivery.

Our in-house design, procurement, production and hard FM teams work hand in hand with our long-term suppliers and partners ensuring that we deliver excellent facilities and services, on time and on budget, the Bouygues Way.

Bouygues UK

Bouygues UK is a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction a world leader in building, civil works and services (electrical contracting / Facilities Management). In the UK since 1997, the company has been more particularly involved in healthcare, education, government accommodation and housing and operates with Ecovert FM, its sister company, on all its PFI projects. Major recent references include: Central Middlesex Hospital (BECaD) delivered in March 2006, the new Home Office headquarters, New Palace Place (144 flats and retail), Jo Richardson Community School, Castle Green and Eastbury Comprehensive School in Dagenham and Barking respectively.

Ecovert FM

Ecovert FM is a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction a world leader in building, civil works and services (electrical contracting / Facilities Management). Ecovert FM provides total facilities management services through direct service delivery from a team of 1250 staff to a range of public and private sector clients in the UK. Our clients include the Home Office, Cabinet Office, West Middlesex University Hospital and Barking Schools. We have formed a successful partnership within the PFI marketplace with our sister construction company, Bouygues UK. Our services range from building maintenance and Project Management through to Soft FM services including catering, cleaning and reprographics.

In 2006 Avanti Architects celebrates twenty-five years of practice. Opening as a small studio in 1981, we now number some sixty-five people from eighteen countries worldwide. We specialise in new-build, conversion and restoration designs for education, residential, medical and commercial buildings as well as a variety of arts and community projects. Successful opening of Childeric school at Mornington Decanting Centre

Following an enormous effort by Bouygues UK and the Childeric teaching staff the school got up and running on time in temporary facilities between Christmas and the New Year.

Bouygues UK's commitment reinforced with the Considerate Contractor Scheme

Bouygues UK’s Lewisham PFI project has been successfully registered with the Considerate Contractor Scheme and is proud to reinforce its commitment to carry out works in a clean and safe manner whilst minimising disruption. Relevant signage and posters have been received and are already displayed on the site hoardings.

Partnership charters signed for Crofton and Forest Hill Schools

In order to continue with this spirit and ensure everyone involved adhere to it, the Bouygues UK Project Director for Lewisham PFI schools set up the framework for a “Partnership Charter” to pave the way forward for the continued interface between the authorities representative, the head teacher, premises officers and Bouygues UK senior site managers.

Impressive progress at Greenvale Secondary School

Following her recent visit to the new school located in Waters road, Ann Sharp, Associate Head teacher, was delighted to see the Greenvale Special Needs School growing so rapidly.

BOUYGUES UK enters into a strategic alliance with Lewisham College

To help develop the young builders of the future, Richard Bridgeford, Project Director for the Schools PFI Project, has been in discussions with John Stagg, the Head of The School of Construction and Technical Services at Lewisham College, to offer the Lewisham construction sites, as a practical training facility for their building students.

Follow-up visit of the Council of Lewisham to Barking Schools PFI

The Barking Schools contract, in operation by Ecovert FM since completion in the summer of 2005 played host earlier in October to a group of headteachers and staff from the Lewisham Schools PFI project.

Safer Use of Tower Cranes - informative article

Tower cranes are a vital element in the construction process. There are around 15,000 cranes in the UK and at any time around a 1000 are in use. Tower cranes are often in use on construction sites in urban areas and collapses/failures are a very rare occurrence. There is legislation, standards, codes of practice in place, covering the design, manufacture and erection of tower cranes globally around the world today. Stringent and regular test regimes have been developed over many years to ensure the safe operation of tower cranes on construction sites. The Bouygues Group have an in-house Plant and Equipment subsidiary based France called “GIE” which owns and maintains all their own tower cranes for internal use only. Only the very highest standards are observed with these cranes resulting in a well maintained and safe fleet operational on all Bouygues construction sites world wide. Formal records of all certifications and regular tests are well documented, on all Bouygues site.

New term started on a new note for all students as they came back to Forest hill and Crofton Schools. They experienced their new environment and settled in their temporary classrooms while works are under way.

Quality and Standards form the flag post for our theme this academic year 'Raising the Bar'. Bouygues have complemented the theme with their impressive and rigorous start to the rebuilding programme of Crofton School.
